About The Event

On August 17, 2021, a team from the DIPPER Laboratory at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) made a visit to Hahn Schickard in southwestern Germany. Hahn Schickard, a technology firm providing applied research and development services across a range of fields, is a valued industrial partner of the DIPPER Lab. The delegation, comprised of Dr. Eric Tutu Tchao, the Scientific Director of the DIPPER Laboratory, and Mrs. Selorm Aggor, the Lab Administrator, was warmly received by Prof. Axel Sikora, the Scientific Director of ivESK and Deputy Member of the Board of the Hahn-Schickard Association of Applied Research. During their visit, both teams engaged in discussions pertaining to the establishment of a virtual incubator and the potential for collaboration and training in the areas of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs) and Industrial Internet of Things (IoTs). The visiting team from KNUST toured the Hahn-Schickard facility in Villinge-Schwingen and had some discussions with the AI group. The DIPPER Lab places great value on its partnership with Hahn-Schickard and is hopeful that this collaboration will facilitate the advancement of technology in Africa.
