About The Event

The distributed Platforms, Privacy and Edge-Intelligence Research (DIPPER) Lab and the Digital Development Technologies Theme Under the KNUST Engineering Education Project (KEEP), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST), held a three-day workshop on Internet of Everything -Technologies and Application for engineering students in the College of Engineering(COE), KNUST. The workshop, took place at the Regional Water and Environmental Sanitation Centre, Kumasi, 13th to Wednesday, 15 February 2023. Under the theme "Internet of Everything -Technologies and Application." It was designed to improve postgraduate students' and continuing students research skills in practice-based research while improving their knowledge and practical understanding. The Dean of Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Prof. Abdul-Rahman Ahmed, In outlining the purpose of the workshop at the opening ceremony, he emphasized the importance of Internet of Everything -Technologies and Application. This module will support continuing and postgraduate students in their research projects and build faculty capacity for greater research output. Prof. Emmanuel Kofi Akowuah the head of department for computer engineering urged students to take the workshop very seriously and do well to attend conferences. He discussed how KEEP came to be and what they do, as well as how the faculty, in accordance with the college vision, has adopted some thematic areas that are aligned with the nation's aspiration, which is digitization.
