DIPPER Lab Hosts ASCEND Project Team to Review British Council-Funded Innovations
The DIPPER Lab has hosted members of the ASCEND project, funded by the British Council under the IAU Enterprise and Innovation Challenge, as part of engagements with teams working on ongoing IAU projects.
The ASCEND team was led by Prof. Aliyu Aliyu of the University of Lincoln.
Other members of the delegation included Dr. Joseph X.F. Ribiero, Head of the Center for Technology Transfer and Skills Development (CTTSD), alongside Celestina Ezenwajiaku and Naomi Kokoro.
The visit provided an opportunity for the ASCEND team to engage with coordinators and teams behind British Council-funded innovations and projects being implemented at DIPPER Lab.
During the meeting, project teams delivered presentations on their work, highlighting achievements, milestones reached, ongoing activities, and challenges encountered so far.
The session also allowed the ASCEND team to assess the progress and impact of the various projects.
A test pitch session was also held, giving teams the opportunity to present their ideas, innovations, and project plans while receiving feedback on their presentations.
The engagement further created room for discussions on future collaboration between the ASCEND project and DIPPER Lab in areas of innovation, research, and science-to-business development.
Management of the Lab welcomed the engagement, noting that it aligns with DIPPER Lab’s innovation and science-to-business agenda.
Members of the DIPPER Lab management team who hosted the delegation included Prof. Eric Tutu Tchao, Scientific Director of DIPPER Lab; Dr. Andrew Selasi Agbemenu, Deputy Scientific Director of DIPPER Lab; Dr. Prince Odame, Child Health and Innovation Lead; and Dr. Enoch Bessah, Climate and Ecosystem Monitoring Lead.
Both teams also commended the support of the British Council and expressed commitment to strengthening collaboration and innovation.
