Project Description

Advances in cloud computing are enhancing the advantages that computing delivers to systems that can be integrated with computers due to their multitasking ability. This is already the case when discussing smart grid. This enhancement can be applied to drive energy management systems such as the electric generating, and distributing systems. As electricity has become the de facto main source of energy worldwide, it is to be expected that all nations, including developing nations, see to constantly improve their electrical energy capabilities. This is the case with Ghana where the desire is to provide electric energy for all citizens in their homes, while supplying all industries, and institutions. This project intended to device a computer cloud that will be utilized to manage all functions relating to electricity generation and distribution, leading to providing all Ghanaians with electricity.
