EJP C-arouNd Project Partners Tour KNUST Campus After Opening Day
International partners of the European Joint Programme (EJP) C-arouNd Project toured the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) campus following the first day of the ongoing workshop on regenerative agriculture.
The familiarization tour formed part of efforts to introduce visiting partners to the rich heritage, academic excellence, and research environment of KNUST, the host institution for the maiden edition of the workshop in Ghana.
The tour began at the KNUST International Programmes Office (IPO), where the visitors were warmly received by university officials.
Excitement filled the air as the partners caught sight of the array of national flags displayed at the office, many eagerly searching for their countries’ flags and taking photographs once they spotted them.
From there, the group proceeded to the Opoku Ware II Museum at KNUST, where they learned about the university’s rich history and evolution over the years.
The team also visited selected colleges and faculties, gaining a deeper appreciation of KNUST’s academic excellence, research capacity, and vibrant campus life.
The tour provided the guests, who are drawn from 13 institutions across Africa, Europe, South America, and North America, an opportunity to experience KNUST’s vibrant campus life and culture.
The workshop, convened by Dr. Caleb Melenya Ocansey, DIPPER Lab’s Lead for Partnerships, in close collaboration with Prof. Vincent Logah, Principal Investigator for KNUST, and Dr. Edward Yeboah, President of the Soil Science Society of Ghana, aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange in regenerative agriculture and climate-smart development.
