BioMedInnovate Seminar Series - Lumbar Disc Mechanics and Fracture Fixation
Apply before March 12, 2026 8:00 AM GMT
Join us for “Lumbar Disc Mechanics and Fracture Fixation” presented by David Jamison, PhD of Villanova University, USA. This lecture examines the biomechanics of the lumbar intervertebral discs, mechanisms of spinal injury, and modern techniques used in fracture fixation. Participants will gain insights into how mechanical forces affect spinal stability, the pathophysiology of lumbar disc degeneration and trauma, and the principles guiding surgical and non-surgical stabilization methods.
The session will also highlight recent research developments, clinical applications, and case-based discussions relevant to orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, biomedical engineers, physiotherapists, and medical trainees interested in spinal health and repair.
