DIPPER Lab, Sesi Technologies, and Agrinvest Sign MoU to Transform Youth Agriculture with FarmSense Technology
DIPPER Lab, in partnership with Sesi Technologies and Agrinvest Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate cutting-edge soil intelligence with mechanisation services for young farmers.
The MoU, signed by Dr. Andrew Selasi Agbemenu, Deputy Scientific Director of DIPPER Lab, Mr. Isaac Sesi, CEO of Sesi Technologies and Mr. Kofi Kyeremateng Nyanteng, CEO of Agrinvest, formalizes collaboration aimed at improving productivity, promoting sustainable farming, and creating job opportunities for youth agripreneurs.
At the heart of this partnership is Sesi Technologies and DIPPER Lab’s FarmSense Soil Intelligence solutions, a tool that allows farmers to assess soil fertility accurately and receive tailored recommendations on nutrient management.
By combining this technology with Agrinvest’s mechanisation services under the Strengthened Access to Mechanisation for Agribusinesses for Youth Employment Opportunities (SAMA) Project, young farmers will be able to make informed decisions that boost crop yields and ensure long-term soil health.
Through the MoU, the partners will:
Deploy FarmSense devices to youth agripreneurs and mechanisation service providers.
Provide training on soil health management, data collection, and productivity improvement.
Offer internships for youth to actively participate in deploying FarmSense in their communities.
Monitor adoption, productivity gains, and soil health improvements to assess the project’s impact.
The CEO of Agrinvest, Kofi Kyeremateng Nyanteng, noted, "By merging mechanisation with smart soil technology, we are opening new pathways for youth employment and making modern agriculture more efficient and profitable."
The initiative will begin with a pilot phase in selected districts before scaling up nationwide, offering a model for how technology, mechanisation, and youth engagement can transform Ghana’s agricultural sector.
