DIPPER Lab hosts JUNIA team for farewell dinner after week-long engagement at KNUST
A week-long visit by representatives from JUNIA University to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) ended with a farewell dinner hosted by the DIPPER Lab team.
During their stay, the JUNIA team met with students, introduced programmes offered at the French engineering school, and conducted interviews with students interested in studying in France.
The sessions gave students the opportunity to learn more about JUNIA’s programmes and ask questions about studying abroad.
The partnership with KNUST operates under the Erasmus+ programme, which provides funding to support student study and internship mobility.
To mark the end of the visit, members of the DIPPER Lab organised a dinner at Ikes Café.
During the dinner, the visitors tried several local dishes, including grilled catfish prepared with mild spice so they could experience a taste of Ghanaian cuisine.
They also sampled some local drinks, leading to moments of laughter as the guests reacted to the new flavours and compared them to drinks from home.
The dinner gave both teams the opportunity to reflect on the week’s activities and continue conversations outside the formal student interview sessions.
The visit is expected to create opportunities for students from KNUST to apply for programmes at JUNIA as discussions on academic collaboration continue.
The delegation is expected to depart after a week of student engagement and scholarship interviews.
