French Embassy Representatives Visit DIPPER Lab to Explore Research, Innovation and Scaling for Impact
Representatives from the French Embassy in Ghana, funders of the Artificial Intelligence or Sustainable Development (AI4SD) project at KNUST, have paid a visit to the Distributed IoT-Platforms, Privacy and Edge-Intelligence Research (DIPPER Lab) to discuss research, innovation, and strategies for scaling impact.
The delegation, led by Miss Elisabeth Morzadec, AI4SD Project Coordinator, and Ammishaddai Ofori, AI4SD Project Manager for Communications, toured the lab to learn more about its pioneering research initiatives.
The visitors were received by Prof. Eric Tutu Tchao, Scientific Director of DIPPER Lab, who also serves as the AI for Agriculture Lead under the AI4SD project.
Prof. Tchao took the team through ongoing projects such as ANET, Herdwatch, and Galamsense, which apply artificial intelligence and IoT technologies to real-world challenges in agriculture, environmental monitoring, and public health.
Also present were Dr. Andrew Selasie Agbemenu, Deputy Scientific Director, and Rev. Dr. Prince Odame, Child Health and Innovation Team Lead at DIPPER Lab.
They highlighted the lab’s interdisciplinary approach and commitment to developing scalable, impactful innovations.
