The Scientific Director of the Distributed IoT-Platforms, Privacy and Edge-Intelligence Research (DIPPER) Lab, Prof. Eric Tutu Tchao, and the Deputy Scientific Director, Dr. Selasi Agbemenu, participated in a stakeholder session on the role of Artificial Intelligence in tertiary education.
The session formed part of ongoing activities under the ReTAIn Project, Revolutionizing Tertiary Education for Africa’s Thriving AI Economy and Workforce.
Prof. Tchao and Dr. Agbemenu shared perspectives on the integration of AI tools and approaches in higher education and how these technologies can better prepare students for careers in AI-related fields.
The ReTAIn Project seeks to understand how tertiary education systems in Africa can become more inclusive and responsive, particularly in engaging students from marginalized and underrepresented groups.
The project aims to align teaching, learning, and curriculum development with the evolving demands of the AI workforce.
