
DIPPER Lab KNUST selected among ISOs across Sub-Saharan Africa for Science2Business Catalyst Programme
DIPPER Lab has been selected among Innovation Support Organisations (ISOs) across Sub-Saharan Africa to participate in the Science2Business Catalyst Programme — a new SPARK initiative implemented together with CONOSCOPE GmbH.
The programme is designed to strengthen the role of ISOs in transforming research into real-world solutions.
It focuses on building stronger links between research institutions, innovators, and industry to advance commercialisation and sustainable development across the region.
Dr Eliel Keelson, Innovation and Commercialisation Lead at DIPPER Lab, represented the organisation at the official kickoff meeting.
After connecting with more than 40 ISOs across Sub-Saharan Africa, the initiative brought the community together to explore how ISOs can drive research-based innovation through;Intellectual property and partnerships, Market-driven innovation and design thinking and Access to funding and commercialization
As part of the next phase, the programme will co-develop an interactive self-learning course tailored for ISOs.
The course will include modules on research design, partnerships, intellectual property management, and financing innovation.
In addition, 20 selected ISOs will receive direct expert support to strengthen their capacity to guide science-based and climate-focused startups.
They will take part in co-creation sessions in November to help shape the course and contribute to the growing community of practice.
DIPPER Lab’s participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting research, innovation, and technology transfer to drive impact in Ghana and beyond.
