Computer Engineering Freshers Tour DIPPER Lab After Orientation
Freshers of the Computer Engineering Department were given a firsthand look at research and innovation after touring the DIPPER Lab as part of activities following their orientation programme.
The visit was aimed at exposing first-year students to practical research work and the opportunities available within the department.
During the tour, the freshers were introduced to the focus areas of the DIPPER Lab and how research conducted there contributes to problem-solving and innovation.
A researcher at the lab, Samuel Kyei Agyemang, led the session and took students through the work being done at the facility.
He explained the lab’s role in developing solutions through research, experimentation and collaboration, while highlighting the skills students can build if they engage early with lab activities.
Mr. Agyemang also encouraged the freshers to develop interest in research and continuously sharpen their technical skills, noting that the lab provides an environment for learning beyond the classroom.
The tour gave students the opportunity to ask questions and interact with researchers, offering them a clearer picture of how theory taught in class is applied in real-world projects.
