NEIP Team Visits DIPPER Lab Ahead of Adwumawura Programme Launch
A team from the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has paid a working visit to the Distributed IoT-Platforms, Privacy and Edge-Intelligence Research (DIPPER Lab) at KNUST ahead of the commencement of the Adwumawura Programme, a flagship government initiative aimed at tackling youth unemployment through skills training and innovation.
The team, led by Mr. Vincent Ohene-Ntow, Director for Business Development and Support at NEIP, engaged with the DIPPER Lab leadership to finalise collaboration plans under the programme.
The visit marks a key milestone in the partnership between NEIP and DIPPER Lab, which will deliver technical training in emerging technologies to Ghanaian youth.
Under the Adwumawura Programme, launched in April 2025 by the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment, DIPPER Lab will provide research, innovation, and commercialisation expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and Blockchain technologies.
The Lab’s involvement is designed to help train 10,000 young Ghanaians, equipping them with the digital and entrepreneurial skills needed to create jobs and drive innovation in Ghana’s growing tech ecosystem.
The Adwumawura Programme represents a major national strategy to tackle rising youth unemployment through entrepreneurship, innovation, and self-employment.
By partnering with institutions like DIPPER Lab, the initiative aims to harness the power of technology to create sustainable livelihoods for the youth.
