A team from the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP) has visited the DIPPER Lab at KNUST to explore a potential collaboration under the Adwumawura Programme, aimed at developing scalable, innovation driven solutions led by youth.
The visit follows DIPPER Lab’s successful shortlisting by NEIP as part of efforts to identify and support promising innovation hubs across the country. The DIPPER Lab team led the NEIP delegation through its various facilities, showcasing ongoing projects and innovations being developed by innovators and researchers.
The NEIP delegation included Miss Abena Konadu Yiadom Boakye, Mr. Mahmoud Tahir, and Mr. Mark Gumah. Dr. Eric Tutu Tchao, Scientific Director of DIPPER Lab, emphasized that the Lab is focused on building a pipeline from training to commercialization.
"We are targeting innovation with a clear route to market. Our collaboration with NEIP is meant to ensure that the young people we train, and the solutions they develop, have the institutional backing needed to scale,” —Dr. Tchao said.
Mr. Mahmoud Tahir encouraged the DIPPER team to continue strengthening the legal and commercial viability of their products and services. He described the work of the young innovators at the Lab as “top notch” and expressed NEIP’s interest in deepening engagement going forward. “It’s encouraging to see young people at the forefront of these innovations,” he noted.
