Leaders of the Paediatric Society of Ghana have engaged the DIPPER Lab team to explore solutions to challenges affecting child health in the country.
The meeting brought together officials of the Paediatric Society of Ghana, led by Dr. Emmauel Oppong, Vice President of Pediatric Society Ghana, Dr. Adoma Odame, Deputy Team Lead for Child Health and Innovation, and researchers from DIPPER Lab to discuss ways to address hurdles in child healthcare delivery and reduce child mortality.
The discussions focused on how innovation and research can support practical solutions that improve child health outcomes in Ghana.
Lead for Child Health and Innovation at DIPPER Lab, Dr. Prince Odame, said the lab welcomes collaboration with stakeholders in the health sector.
He noted that, “when health professionals present the challenges they encounter in their work, it creates an opportunity for researchers to develop solutions that respond to real needs in the healthcare system”.
Also present at the meeting were the Scientific Director of DIPPER Lab, Prof. Eric Tutu Tchao, and the Deputy Scientific Director, Dr. Andrew Selasi Agbemenu.
The engagement forms part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between researchers and healthcare professionals to improve child health and reduce mortality in Ghana
