DIPPER Lab to Partner CSIR/ACE4ES to Develop, Test and Scale Smart Innovations for Rural Farmers
The DIPPER Lab is collaborating with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) through the Agroecology and Circular Economy for Ecosystem Services (ACE4ES) project to develop and validate smart agriculture technologies for rural farmers.
The team, comprised of the Scientific Director of DIPPER Lab, Prof. Eric Tutu Tchao, and the Climate and Ecosystems Services Lead, Dr Enoch Bessah, met with the Project Lead and Principal Investigator of ACE4ES, Kwaku Onwona-Hwesofour Asante, during a visit to the CSIR-Crops Research Institute to discuss areas of collaboration under the ACE4ES project.
The planned collaboration will focus on validating technologies, including Sesi Technologies and DIPPER Lab’s FarmSense, and advancing precision agriculture solutions tailored to the needs of smallholder farmers.
The partnership will support the development and deployment of tools aimed at improving productivity and strengthening climate-resilient farming practices in rural communities.
The ACE4ES project is a multi-institutional initiative designed to promote sustainable agriculture practices, reduce short-lived climate pollutants and enhance ecosystem services.
It is being implemented by CSIR-CRI in collaboration with regional partners across Africa.
The collaboration is expected to support the adoption of Lab-developed innovations and expand their use among rural farming communities.
