From Graduation Cap to Life-Saving Innovation at DIPPER Lab
DIPPER Lab at KNUST is proud to celebrate Henry Tutu Adjei, who has just graduated with a BSc in Biomedical Engineering.
Completing his degree is a remarkable achievement, but for Henry, it’s just the beginning.
He continues to serve as a National Service Personnel with the Lab, turning knowledge into action.
Henry is working on a life-changing project: a cost-effective neonatal incubator designed specifically for Ghanaian hospitals.
Many facilities struggle with incubators that are expensive, fragile, and hard to maintain, leaving vulnerable newborns without reliable thermal support.
Henry’s solution focuses on durability, simplicity, and practicality, with features like controlled heating and humidification, optimized airflow, and essential safety alarms.
By grounding the design in local needs and resources, the incubator aims to save lives and make neonatal care more accessible.
DIPPER Lab applauds Henry’s dedication, graduation is just one milestone in a journey that is already transforming healthcare.
